The Creative Writing Thread
The world spins
faster and faster
but only those who
suffer bouts of
Meniere's Ear
know how to reach
a safe place
to lie down, close their eyes
andstill know
that if they open them
theworld will still spin :d unno:

I miss the luxury
of a looong bath experience
It seems that the shower
the epitome of today and our frenetic lifestyle
has won the day
And it's no use
relying on
a whore's wash
as (thankfully) it's
DNA responsive

This world has become
a farce
not just religiously but
politically
and with the shock
of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce
looming over it all
the question of
'when can America be great again?'
seems just a metaphor
and a sad sad one

Computing Daughter, having changed horses mid stream, is facing Nursing exams this week... we're all afraid to mention rashes, spots, neck pains...oh well as long as she's happy

[quote=""davidm""]Is the mic for this thread still on?
Ive had about ten short stories published and could try to dig up some of them that may be online if any are interested. A friend and I have also started an online publishing venture. If it succeeds a very big IF we would be looking for new writers. Here are the relevant links so far:

In a world where Donald Trump is elected president, the fantastical and the absurd is called the Evening News.Pood Paw Prints is dedicated to publishing the offbeat, the irrational, the surrealistic, the fantastical and the absurd.
But, oh so long
between meetings
and I nearly gave up
but the powers that be
granted me
a deep heart's wish
and our paths crossed
and we will
meet again
by the river

However
I forgot about
the awesomely powerful
effect on the ego
of MIRRORS
Went to the OP shop
and came out
demoralised
because of the mirror
in this small space.
Why can't dress shops
etc. make their
mirrors flattering.
Mirrors are like
their soul creator
Narcissus.

Turning on
the air conditioner
and glad that
I went to the library
so as to bury myself
in fiction.
Barometer is reading that
apres aujourdhui
comes the storm.

I must post this lovely
example of poetry
from the heart
and it is a glorious example
of the Old Testament's
unique way of
expressing facets
of life...
" I am distressed for thee my
brother Jonathon: very pleasant
hast thou been unto
me: Thy love to me
was wonderful, passing
the love of women"

My Baptist friend's
face was a literal
jaw drop when ,
trying to break the news
gently I asked her
how the apostles
could have written
the gospels
as they could neither
read or write?

'Twas dear old Emperor Constantine who, at the Council of Nicea, decided with a little help from his Apostle friend (heh heh) that there might well be a future in this here Christianity thing...obviously at the root of discussion of the matter Money was the way , the truth and the whatever.
