might resemble the experience of 'hearing' phrases of a popular song in your mind's ear, or the voices of people on television when watched with the volume off. Alternatively it may be an abstract experience, but closer to being an auditory experience than a visual experience. Some people describe it as imaginary white noise. To avoid confusion we will from now on refer to any such experience as ‘auditory sensation’
That is an extremely broad range of ‘auditory sensation’, and I object to that expression too. Anyway, although I could easily imagine what sound might be accompanied by quite a few events shown in the clip, such as the nail being hammered or the swish of traffic on a wet road, none of the sounds I envisaged synchronised with the provided vision. So it was 0 for each and every clip from me.

So I am probably not a synaesthete. Can any other conclusions be drawn from the result?

Not really. While everything seems to be about binding phenomena this week I was still surprised to discover that I got mild effects across the board. I guess if it works it's cool, if it doesn't it's a waste of time.

It seems I am a dud, had to answer 0 or 1 for all of them (I gave a 1 to the smashing television, as I definitely imagined the sound that should have gone with though in the same way a proper synaesthete would I don't think).

I do get music in my head that seems more directly synaesthetic, especially or usually with reference to natural phenomena and locations. It definitely "plays" loudly, and not like having a song in one's head etc - the visual image and the sounds are strongly intertwined, and the music is very strange and unique to the experience.
