It would be nice to think this episode would enable him to 'break out of the prison of guilt'- but I fear it's far more likely that his denial and self-hatred will only be reinforced by it. Divorce, loss of all his friends, expulsion from his church- even suicide- is what I see as his most probable fate.

I look forward to these things happening. Not out of a desire to see him hurt, but for him to see, first hand the empty words of far too many who call themselves Christian. They talk all day about the ideal of forgiveness, when they want to feel all warm and cozy about themselves, but how do they act when they are blindsided by reality. Do they forgive their own or do they eat their own depending on the circumstances?
I count on these people to reveal to the world their true character, because if they truly believed what they spew about God having a plan for all of us, they would be convinced that what was happening was apart of his plan. Why would they not support their own God's plan if they claimed to follow him? Because they don't.
Their actions speak louder than their words ever can and the rest of the world sees that.
